What you experience may be a rushed doctor; what you don’t see is the root cause of this - insurance. Doctors are reimbursed for only a fraction of what care actually costs, so they are forced to care for way too many patients in order to cover overhead. Insurance companies care first and foremost about profits, not patient care.

In order to provide you with the highest quality of care, we operate under a direct payment model. This allows us to prioritize individualized care with longer appointment times, and direct access to your doctor.
Our commitment to you is to make our fee structure clear and transparent:
We will provide an estimate of fees at the beginning of your care, and provide an invoice after each visit listing the diagnosis and the services provided, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits.
Dr. Anna Dowling has hospital privileges at St Joseph Medical Center. You can use your insurance to cover the cost of all labs, formal ultrasounds, and hospital-related fees.
